I wasn't ready for starting fresh this past New Year's Day. I was still bogged down in 2010 drama. So I'm declaring February 1, 2011 my Fresh Start Day. I've got some goals. I'm just off a trip to Disney where I got my magic on. I'm joining Weight Watchers this very night (online-I can't be going to those meetings). I've got all the makings of a person ready to open to a clean page and get down to work.
As for my goals, I've placed them in categories. Perhaps I'm more likely to achieve them if they read like a brochure for a retirement village. I don't know, it's worth a shot. Here they are: Healthy Body, Happy Family, Cozy Home, Stay Connected, Plan Ahead & Enjoy the Present.
My overall goal for the year is to be more proactive, less reactive. Think: know what I'm going to have for dinner before my whole family is starving at 6pm. I'm not trying to change the world, here, just looking to regain sanity.
So Happy Fresh Start Day Eve, everyone. Since time is arbitrary anyway, a snowy Tuesday is as good a day as any to try to make life a little better.
